Hi, my name is salty. I am a 21 yr old college student/biology major, and have been fiddling with nano tanks for about 1.5 yrs now, and i pulled the trigger on a 65g, and am currently setting it up.
My 5-stage no-name ebay RO/DI unit came in the mail today. I Routed it from the cold water line on the washer, flushed the membrane, and let 5g run before testing out to 000 TDS.
Also, 50lb of Marcos Key Largo Dry Rock came in the mail today. I am pleased with the porosity, but the shape is making scaping a challenge.
What I Have:
-65g Deep Blue Professional DT
- "RJ Custom" wood stand
- ~25G Aquatic Life Systems 3 chamber sump
- Eheim Jager Trutemp 200w Heater
- 5 stage ebay RO/DI
- Jebao DC3000 Return Pump (and plumbing)
-200gal mix Tropic Marin bucket
What I Need:
-quality skimmer on a deal <$150
- used t5 Fixture with ATI bulbs
- 2x Jebao WP25 w/ dual controller
- TLF Phosphate Reactor
- Ecobak or biopellet reactor
- maybe? activated carbon reactor - possibly will just run passively
- ATO
- 40lb Aragalive sand for SSB
-LR Rubble and cultures of select micro-fauna to start tank biology
Later upgrades:
Dosing pump/Calcium reactor
Apex
ATI Fixture (MAYBE, MAYBE LED fixture)
Stocking Plans:
mostly SPS, but will start with zoas, then a few LPS to test the tank
compatible fish ( a few wrasses)
