Well, i made a 7 channel led lamp full spectrum for my nano tank. The lamp have 8 differet led colors and Android/PC controller booth by Bluetooth.

I made in withe aryclic with compact desing. The cooler can be start automatically by DIY temperature controller inside the lamp. To run the lamp i use a laptot power supply, 19v 4.74mAh, and is the only cable.

In the next post i will show to us the building process with pictures and more specs.

Thanks for all the comments!

Today i will show the first part, the controller for cooler, that turn on and off automatically. The controller have 2 trimpots to regulate the start temperature and the other for the time to turn off.

The controller works with 12v, the same of the cooler, but the lamp have 19v. To obtain 12v for the controller i need to reduce the voltage.

The easy way is a DC - DC converter.

With the little screw the output voltage can be selected. To check the correct voltage is necessary a multimeter.

Hatsink:

The heatsink have 8" long * 4.5" width * 2/3" high, 20oz of weight.

The leds:

4 Cree XPG-G2 R5 Cool white
2 Cree XPE2 Red 630nm, (Replace of Osram Golden Dragon 660nm) because this red reproduce more bright colors on the reds and oranges.
2 Cree XPE2 Yellow 590nm
4 Cree XTE Royal blue
4 Cree XPE Blue
4 Semileds turquoise
2 violet + 2 UV Semileds N3535UUNx1 NF1/NG5 (The more efficient UV leds on the market, more than the used in Ecotech Radion) up to 1600mw.

Really. I had no idea. Where do you get it? I've been wanting to experiment with building an acrylic housing for my light, but have not found a good guide or simple way of doing it.

Also, where did you get the white acrylic?
