I posted this on the Lighting forum, but I wanted to give an update here. I posted a pic of my Acro Speciosa before. Here is an update.

This is for research purposes only!

My Acropora Speciosa was not fairing well under LED.

Acropora Speciosa is normally green, a seafoam green.

This is under LED:

This is 7 days under a Hamilton Cayman Sun 400w, 14k MH:

I had this coral under a Radion Pro and a Mitras 6200HV. Both great LED's, but the photos speak for themselves.

Evolution,

I will take a side shot tomorrow. It is a very noticeable difference.

I absolutely love LED's, but they are not quite there yet.

BS. I won't beat around the bush on that, it most certainly is the lighting.

I get the sense you are being punctual and dismissing what I am saying. Here are a few questions to ask your self and I am only trying to help.

How strong are your LEDs in par compared to your MH?
You could be torching it and not even no it.
Is it a newly acquired piece
Could still be adjusting to its new environment.
Did you have an alk swing and did pick up on it?
Did you check for pest crabs nipping fish
It just looks like to me in the first picture it's stressed out.
Well good luck and keep us posted

Im on t5s now and getting excellent color on my sps, cant wait to get the two reefbrite 250W/led hybrids for my 80gal deep blue once i move.
I like sleek fixtures with all the tweeks leds have, but cant beat mhs in color. I understand leds must be dialed in properly. Mhs however is you turn them on, and color comes in. Period

Looks like you had it high for the LEDs and have it lower for the mh according to your pics. It takes sometime to get aclamated to the LEDs. what intensity did you have them set for? I made the switch to LEDs and started cooking them. it took a little time to dial them in and now the coral looks better then ever. some do morph and don't look the same like my rainbow monti . so yes I think it is the lights with a little bit of user error. I mean this with no disrespect.
