What can this thing do? All the online description are not very clear, what 29 day LED moonlight?

And how does it drives the 6101, can it ramp each one up and down randomly?

It has a built in moonlight LED that brightens and dims over a 29 day lunar simulation. It has two channels and up to 8 pumps can be connected. Basically you can set 2 seperate programs each running up to 4 pumps. The pumps can pulse between two speeds, alternate between channels off and on or full speed/ low speed. The pumps can also be turned on sequentially.

Does it have some soft start feature after off interval or feeding,
like slowly spin the propeller and ramp up.

And does it switch between the 2 speeds gradually or it's more like low and high in a discrete manner?

Also what is the best way to use the controller with 2 streams but power backup, I saw a tunze part that lets you use a car battery.. how would I use it with the 7095 controller? Using a car battery is more effecient than using a AC UPS backup and more efficient

It does have a soft start basically it gives the pump a small amount of power - about 10% for a fraction of a second and then jumps to 30% or whatever setting you have. It jumps between the two spped settings but it does take a second or two to completely accelerate or decelerate.

The controller would not be affected by a backup, our back up allows you to use a car battery but it would be safer to use a small gel cell battery such as a Power Wheels or household alarm system uses. The battery would need to be fitted with a trickle charge, alternatively you could use a solar panel system.

Good idea
do I still need to buy this part 6105, one for each of the pumps I want to have backup when used with the controller?
