7095 not working right

Hi, I have a 7095 and it was hooked up to 3 pumps and it worked perfect until I unhooked two of them today. Now, it turns my 6305 off after about 3 minutes of running, if I unplug the pump from the controller it runs wide open. Can you run a 7095 with just one pump? I won't be getting my new pump for a few weeks.

When you are hooking up one pump are you leaving an interval selected and still setting one knob to a high and one to a low setting? Are the power level leds cycling and the pump is not?

I have it set on interval, high power both knobs. I've tried it on different settings and it will do the same thing. I know the pump works fine. When I turn down the power on the pump it works perfect. It only turns off when I power it all the way up after about 2-3 minutes. There is no movement on the 7095. After some research I found somewhere if the controller isn't balanced on the 2 channels this will happen and Tunze doesn't know why. Is it OK to run a tunze 6305 off a RKL till I get my new pump?

Where did you find this info? I have never heard of such a thing.

In pulse mode the pump should work normally. Interval will switch to a non existent pump after the set Interval as will Sequential. I would try another cable from the controller to the pump, a pump can work normally but have a control issue, so it is also not impossible it is the pump. The controller is really the least likely culprit. I would say in order or probability it is bad cable, stuck drive unit (prop and magnet stuck to the metal shaft and not spinning on the shaft but instead dragging the shaft) or bad pump, the least most likely is a controller issue.

Tried a NIB cable

Tried a NIB cable

I tried a nib cable and its still the same on the interval mode. When I hooked up my 6091 controller, the pump works fine. This all started when I unhooked my other (2) 6100's. I put them back in and everything worked as it should. Your right, it does work in the pulse mode. When I checked the pulse mode before I might have done something. When I turn down the power on the 6305 it will work on interval mode.

With one pump, there is nothing to Interval between so the mode is not really active, pulse is the only one that should work with one pump.

Thanks Roger, I'm in a bind now. I had the old 6091 controller and it didnt make a wave anywhere close to the 7095 mulit controller. Is there something I can get to simulate the wave interval of the 7095?

7095 doesn't have a wavemode? Do you mean 7096? The 7095 should not be able to produce a wave.

This 7095 is hooked to a Tunze 6305 pump puts a 2" wave across my 72" x 24" x 30" tank end to end like you wouldn't believe. I put it in interval mode 1 with the pump power on full, turn 2a & 2b to max, then turn the pulse and interval knobs (5,3) to there lowest setting and away it goes. Heres a video with only a 6305 in there making the wave. Please excuse that humming, my new return pump is on its way. http://s631.photobucket.com/albums/...uu38/01Andy/?action=view&current=MOV01076.mp4

The same thing would be accomplished by setting the jumper inside the 6091 to Inverse and turning the knob to a timing of about 1 second. It works only because the resonance of your tank is around 1 second but in most cases it can't work, this is just luck. The 6091 can do the exact same thing but the range of the knob is much finer, .3-1.4 seconds vs the 7095 1-60 seconds. Once you hit the same timing on the 6091 it will do the exact same thing.

Thanks for all the help Roger. With the support Tunze gives I'll never buy anything else.
