7095 not working?

Hello,

I have a multicontroller on my 180 with 6100's. I have the settings on Interval 2, 6 hrs, 3 second (Roger's reccomended settings), and I feel that the 7095 is not working.

The controller sometimes turns off. I oftentimes during the late evening and in the early morning find the channels not being lit. In some cases, only one of the two channels is lit, but the pumps are not working.

Furthermore, I have the pumps on the 30/100 setting. However, there is no pulsating, but just a general current.

Is this the setting that I am using that is causing this, or do I have a faulty controller. The controller is 9 days old. Since I am new to Tunze's, I am not sure if this is right.

Thanks.

First I would check that the cables are firmly attached. I would also check that the cables are connected to the controller- before the pumps are plugged in to the power. That might explain the no power. As for the lack of pulsing you may be stuck in night mode, the photocell has an upside and a downside, the downside has the wires going over the gallium plate inside. In general the 7095 has been extremely trouble free and reliable.

Hi Roger,

Thank you for the quick response. I checked all of the connections and they are fine.

However, I can still only get channel 1 on at this moment. This is typical as both channels will come on shortly, but is this how it is supposed to be?

Here is a time chart of the channels:

Channel 1 is on from 12:00 am - 6:00 pm, 10:00pm to 12:00 am
Channel 1 is off from 6:00pm-10:00pm

Channel 2 is on from noon-8:00pm, 9:00-2:30am
Channel 2 is off from 2:30am-noon or later

Is this the typical settings, or should I purchase another new controller? I would like to figure this out, but I am terrible with electronics. With all of the connections being good, I am lost as to what to do. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

No, you wouldn't need a new controller, if we can't walk you through just send it in to me and I'll replace it. The pumps work without a controller so it isn't critical.

What you describe makes no sense, in Interval 2 it should run with one channel pulsing and the other idleing at 30%. The Channels set at 6 hrs should switch evenly at 6 hr intervals. It is worth while to double check that one pump is in the first socket and one is in the third. I would also disconnect the power for 2 minutes and replug the pumps in. Like any computer they can lock up and fritz out and need to be rebooted, this usually only happens if cables were hot swapped.
