7095 problem

Hello,
I have 4 6100's that have worked great for about 1 year or so. They are controlled by a 7095.
I came home from work and found all 4 pumps were off except for when they pulse for about 1 secound. I unpluged each pump from the controller and all pumps worked just fine that way. I have tried pluging them back in and changing the settings but they still don,t work.

Please help.

Thanks
Tony

Update. I tapped the controller on the side and started working again for about 10 minutes then it died. Tapped on it again and now it's working. ( for how long?)
Please advise.

Thanks
Tony

Their is nothing mechanical in the controller that could respond to tapping with the exception of the push button switched. My guess would be the food time switch is stuck or maybe some salt creep or water has entered the controller and tapping it broke free salt that was shorting a contact. If it is the foodtimer switch you may be able to fix it simply by backing out the screws on the back of the housing one turn.

Thanks,
I will give that a try, but I don't think it's salt creep because the controller is mounted on the outside of the cabinet. I did notice last night that when the MH lights go out and the VHO's are on in night mode the pumps will sometimes work as they should and sometimes the controller will only run one pump or no pumps. Mabey the light sensor is not able to work properly with dimmer light? Could this be causing the problem?
Tapping on the control was probably just a coincidence.
Do you think it could be a sensor problem?

Thanks
Tony

It could be the magnetic interference from the ballasts. You might try repositioning the controller. In night mode the pumps should still run but without pulsing, they stay at whatever the bottom two knobs are set at.
