Doubt you would have that information available, but is there some sort of schematic as to which pins do what on the inside. From what I can tell there is probably something like arduino board inside? That's where the programs are uploaded.

And while the default options are fairly nice, I feel I could write up something a bit more interesting and perhaps random.

I don't have that type of info and they would not release it if asked. The main issue you and ourselves are up against is the board does not have a lot of memory so very elaborate programs are out, random in particular is difficult because their is no such thing as truly random, you basically are programming several speeds and times in a long code and some commands to shuffle between those. We have not found a way to make such a code compact enough to fit.

I meant random as far as, run wavemaker for a bit, then run back and forth for a bit.

I'm familiar with how coding works for these sort of devices, just not sure if it's Arduino based, then it would be pretty easy and not a lot of code is needed to make an interesting program.

I guess I'll take it apart and see if I can figure out from the guts to what it is :P

Perhaps making the code side of it open source would not hurt either, someone may figure a way to make it better and you will only benefit with no extra investment :)
