Today while programming my 7096, my dog came running down the stairs and ripped the usb cable out of the 7096. It broke the little white piece that the cable connects to. Can somebody tell me which way the white piece goes back in. You can see in the pic the top pin is folded in half. Does anybody know if this is supposed to be bent (not used)? Also, can I send this in and have fixed?

I would be willing to try to replace it, it doesn't look like the easiest repair as I will have to unsolder 6 connections with solder wick and a vacuum and not overheat anything to detach it and then install the new one. I have never done it before. Worst case I will discount a new controller, but I will try if you send it in.

BTW, as is, it is toast, the pins were connected to the white piece.

If you feel uncomfortable about doing it, I have friends that work in the avionics department at work that could do it. I could buy the parts from you and have them do it for me? By the way, does the white part go on top or bottom?
Thanks Roger.

It goes on top. The only way I have this part is on a dead board, so it would be a transplant, I could send it to you or I can see if they can send me just that part.
