70w hqi bulb

looking for a good bulb and a good price....any ideas?

70w hqi, prolly 14k, i dont wanna supplement with actinics (to keep the heat down ).

i have a Ushio 70W DE 10K...it seems nice and bluish white but i am also going to supplement with a couple PC actinics.

So far hello lights is the only place i ahve seen them..

I use the catalina aquarium 20k bulb. Its like 30 bucks. It has great par for a 20k bulb (looks more along the lines of a 14k to me). I figured for the price, I can get two of those bulbs for the price of a ushio or AB bulb. I've had the AB 10k and without sups its waaaaaaaaay too yellow for me.

Has anyone done Spectral Analysis of 70 watt MH Lamps & ballasts???

I've found the results on 150 watt bulbs/ballast but not 70 watt.

u could get the 70w 14k bulbs from drfosters
i think its called sunpaq or powerpaq bulbs
50 bucks
