Well
After four months let tell my good and bad shots on this project:
First The goods:
1) The Siporax: This is awesome. Holding over 35 fish and lots of corals without ANY issues until now.
2) The Hydra52: Great light, every possuble combination, great control and lots of power. Running 19 fixtures with Zero issues.
3) The acrylic: Yes, it scratches but the transparency is unbelievable.
4) The BBK Supermarin: NOthing to say but Fenomenal.
Now the Bads:
1) The Siporax BOXES: Yeah, I have made large boxes with 50 liters each. So, it's huge and heavy when I have to wash them. I'll make smaller ones soon.
2) The overflow boxes are too shallow. There is not enough gravity so the smallest change on water movement makes the level on the boxes rise or lower.
3) The worst of all: The Bottom Silicon.
Let me explain this:
The silicon on the bottom IS AWESOME. It's one of my BEST ideas BUT, I should have made it with AT LEAST 5mm thick. Mine was "painted" over the acrylic and it does not hold anymore. So i had to put some sand (gravel to be true) because I don't like pure glass bottom.
The good news is that After 15 days it's all OK, no algae and no parameter shift.
Here there are some new pictures. Hope you guys enjoy.
Here it's a little experience I made putting an Yellow plastic on the lenses of my iphone. (lights are ALL blue at this time)
