7240 whistling?

My 7240 powerhead (attached to a wave controller) was whistling and not working. I was able to start the powerhead again after taking the pump apart, cleaning and re-assembling. It worked again and the whistling noise stopped. The inside of the powerhead was a bit dirty, but nothing significant. Was the whistling only due to the powerhead not rotating - or a sign that something in the electronics of the 7240 is faulty? Thanks, Marco

The whistling was quite possibly caused by it being dirty, the pump can sense it running slow from drag etc...
