74 gallon rimless tower...

Recently bought a house and took down my shallow 80 reef... seen here...

New house does not have a lot of horizontal wall space open due to open floor plan... so I wanted to try something different... settled on a deep blue 74 gallon tower... 24x24x30.. rimless with low iron glass...

I have not seen many (any??) of these probably due to the depth.. but I like a challenge...

Wife wanted white so we painted the stand and the bottom tank trim..

Got the sump area done (mostly) still need some cord management and a few other items... it's a tight fit...

Also got my rockwork done... really liking the scape as of now...

Very cool! My LFS has one that I've always loved. They have since changed it a bit. It has a very large (probably 12-16") clam up near the top now that is very cool. Sorry about the pic being sideways.

If you leave it open top you might get away with a MH without a chiller!

Thanks... mixed reef... probably a bunch of small fish... haven't really settled on fish yet

I can't remember exactly.. I think it was a radion.

I'd say just LED on that would look killer with the slim housing, and since you dont need much of a wide angle they fit the bill on that also.

Got the sump arranged.. it's a tight fit without much room to work, but it's all in haha...

Also added a bottle of Dr Tims and 90 drops of ammonia to get the cycle going...

6 bulb enough or do I need 8 bulb?
