75 gal reef tank new build

im currently setting up a 75 gal 20 gal refugium 55lbs of reefsaver rock 60lbs of naturesocean live sand, im about to paint the back glass today and this weekend hopefully fill it up snd start cycling.

i have a t5 fixture 4 ballast and 8 bulbs is that to much light and what bulb combo should i run?

Depends on what type of corals you might house, but 8x T5 54w might be a too much light for a 75.You could start running four add a couple of reef brites on the empty spaces and then bump it up to six once your corals start building up large colonies.

As T5 combo goes it depends what's your taste in spectrum. Shot your question in the lightning forum. Or see what other successful hobbyist are using and just copy their combo pick.

Awesome dude my 75 has been set up for a while and i know the feeling just take your time and i have no idea about the lights i have a fluval marine and a 2 bulb t5 that will have actinic plus and true actinic and if you want some coral let me know ill hook it up they wont be top of the line but they will be great starter coral for you and if not no big deal
