75 gallon in wall project.

Kvc-"If that's the case I will probably just take a sledge hammer to the whole thing!!!"

Kvc-"I'm havin some issues with my over flow... any suggestions."

I got a BMF hammer. Would now be an appropriate time?

I may just pop a few rounds from the assualt rifle into it. I awoke this morning to find my car broken into again. Last time it was in December they got me for about 2000-3000 dollars worth of damage and equipment, luckily this time they didn't break the window though, so thats a plus and I'm not sure of the hit to my wallet this time yet. Oh and on the way to get my car worked on I hit a pot hole that took up the entir lane on 70 westby the bridge and dented one of my wheels, and now my tank is giving me probs so I'm just tryin to make it throught the day.

I did a fresh water test on the tank today, still a few kinks to work out with the overflow. Here are a few pics

Just gonna use one over flow? If your not happy with it you could recycle the bulkheads out of both over flows and drill the tank. It's still filled with fresh water now right? And what are you using for a return pump?

I believe I will be using a mag 7.5 or a via aqua. I'm happy with over flows I think I just need to put a ball valve on the return pipe to control it better. I'm gonna be messing with it tonight and see what happens I may drill.

Chuck Norris would tell you to stand up be a man and have the tank drilled :) J/K. Nice job. Thanks for sharing and if it works for you, that's all that matters.

HaHa Chuck Norris is da man! I have a 46 reef right now that is drilled and to me either way doesn't matter as long as it drains water. Both are low profile and out of the way, and it was just cheaper to throw a overflow on there and call it a day. For the light I'm thinking I may hang that T-5 Tek light on an arm that can swing out away from the tank. I just have to fugure out how I'm gonna do it, I have a few ideas I'm kickin around.

That sounds like a super cool idea. Cant wait to see more about that.

I decided to install a QT tank into the fish room. It is hooked into my main system with the intention of acclimating fish into my system without the stress of being picked on by tankmates until they are established. If I ever have to treat with any meds I can cut the tank off with ball valves and run a small HOB filter until fish is better. This added another 20 gals to my system making it around 115 gallons. Tomorrow I will be ordering my RODI system and when I recieve that I will begin filling and aquascaping.

I would agree!!! What system do you have? I have seen it but wasn't sure where you purchased it or how many stages.

Ok so I'm looking into some bulbs for my Tek light. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what combination I should do. I was thinking 2-14ks 2-actincs and 2 10-ks

I run three blue plus and three aquablues on my 58. Two of the bulbs only run 4 hours a day and I still get nice growth.

in my 4 bulb I run 2 aqua blues (11k) and 2 actinic plus which is mixture of 40% Actinic and 60% Blue i like it more than straight Actinic

Any pics of your tanks to give me an idea. That seems like a lot of blue. But I do like a lot of blue, I just want to make sure I have plenty of day light which is why I was thinking 14k.
