Just a little update:
I bought a small generator, and prepared pretty thoroughly for the storm. Amazingly, my area was mostly spared severe damage - in fact, we lost power for maybe 7 seconds or so. My heart goes out to all farther east and north who suffered the real brunt of this...PaulB and Gabe, I hope you are ok!
The tank is doing pretty well. I turkey basted today, and for the second time I saw a spawning event just after. It happens very quickly - first whisps of sperm or milt come out of the rock, and then eggs. I rushed to get the camera...I didn't get great shots, but I feel pretty lucky to have captured it at all:
Sperm?
Eggs? (bigger white dots are tiny tube worms on back glass)
I moved the torch coral, and it likes its new location MUCH better:
And so does the clam (no more irritation! Well, except for hermit)!
Btw, in the clam picture, at the bottom, you can see how the Red Planet is throwing down a base. In my tank...go figure!

Thank you, Pete. I have no idea what is spawning in there, although a couple possibilities might include mini serpent stars and bristle worms.
I am still waiting for my fish time bomb to go off. I still occasionally see one or two (usually one) white dots on the edge of the wrasse's fins, although it hasn't been flashing or twitching so much lately.
The really scary part is that a friend of mine just had a velvet outbreak in his tank, and has lost 3 of his 5 fish in rapid succession. I did get a frag from him not long after the "suspect" fish went in his tank, so I'm a bit worried about what was in the water. Time will tell!

My clam (what else do I ever talk about?) blew a good coating of my coarse black sand all over my favia coral. Here it is eating the sand before I could blow it all away:

Well, my friends, I think this will be my last update for this thread. I'll probably be starting a new thread for my 15g tank in the nano forum, in order to discuss it's progress and sustainability as a model for my next big tank.
