75g build.

That's not a bad idea Pedro. I thought of adding some T5's to it actually. I should have enough room inside the fixture. Just need a different ballast and the bulbs.

I'll tell you... I moved a few of my softies over to my 90g that only has the 2x 54w Coral+ bulbs over it, I can already see a color difference in them and its only been a few weeks. They were under all LED in my Biocube, which was the BXRA 950 4k, RB, CB, and HV.

Certain colors under the T5 are now more pronounced. My dragon soul favia looks amazing now. The dark purple in the centers has came back and the pinkish-red around the walls is now darker. My frogspawn is green with purple tips again. Whereas before it was green with light purple tips. This could be from being under lower light since its only 2 T5 bulbs.

A few of my zoas don't look any different. Space monsters look just as good under either setup, same with my fruit loops. My utter chaos are now like a neon orange, and the white is a lot more noticeable. I haven't moved over my Sunny D's, umpa loompas, or magicians yet.

I am curious to see what my ORA Shortcake will look like under the new setup. Right now its base is dark red kinda brown, with the branches being lime green, tips are pink. Almost identical to the pic on ORA's website. Its been in the Biocube now for about 3 months.

No noticeable difference in my duncans, acans, or blastos yet.

I think it's the UV portion of the ati coral+ that makes the corals look awesome. My devils armor Zoa looked plain but as soon as I switched over to ATI the color popped like crazy.

Ati r quality bulbs!!!

+1. I switched from LED to t5.. Then upgraded bulbs to ATI and even though I do not have individual reflectors it still made a huge difference. My clowns and flame angle look very vibrant in color, even the corals. Anyway this is a sweet build man!

Was thinking of adding 2 T5 ballasts with my LEDs on my new build...where is a good place to source them? Tank is 6' so would 48" be fine ? Are you guys adding only the coral+ violet bulbs?

Well that idea didn't last long. Decided to just stick with LEDs. I personally think where alot of people go wrong with LEDs is simply not even violet, (420-430nm). This light will be your typical 2:1 RB:WW with a whole heap of violet.

5 LDD-H drivers

Typhon controller.

5up LDD board

Box of LED stuff.

Luxeon M 12w chips. (RB and 4k WW)

Bought a 21.5" heatsink, had it cut in half, heatsink is no joke, definitely a heavy duty heatsink, should have no problem, will still run fans.

Also big thanks to Robert (bhuddafunk) for the great deal on the reactor.

Also, ordered another sump so I could finally get my "itech" running. Lights should also be done soon.

Its because leds emit very very little uv radiation unlike metal halides, t5s etc.......corals need that to get that pop.
