I know it works because it's been running for two days now, and the skimmer is actually skimming the tap water...

If you are getting anything from your tap water I would not drink that water...

So you got your pipe locally meaning your schedule 80 pipe. If you did you should grab me some when you come if you know the people and we will just take it off your tab. I need like 25 feet of schedule 80 1.5" and maybe 2 feet of 2". But if you cant that is fine. I just am not sure if HD sells it, i never even looked.

Do you get some pretty crazy flow with the dart than?

Sorry that I didn't get this until just now, and I don't think I'll be able to get anything before we come. I think that they are closed now...SORRY.

I think the "stuff" that was getting skimmed was from the pipes , not so much the tap water...I should have worded it differently...

Thanks for everything, MN Reef! It appears that everything on my end made it so far. I didn't get a chance to really check everthing over with a fine tooth comb this morning, but at a glance all corals and livestock are alive and well...didn't see the sand stars, but I'm assuming that they are just burried in the small amount of sand that we put in the tank last night. We were short about 40g of water, so we were mixing DI water like crazy last night...we didn't quite have enough, so the sump/skimmer had to wait for operation until this morning...I'll keep you posted, and I'll post pics tomorrow...

Ok, first I need to know what these corals are doing...I'm a little worried. One minute they looked great, the next, two of them started spurting out this:
<a href="http://s260.photobucket.com/albums/ii19/vtruscinski/?action=view&current=Spurt2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii19/vtruscinski/Spurt2.jpg" border="0" alt="Spurt2"></a>

And this:
<a href="http://s260.photobucket.com/albums/ii19/vtruscinski/?action=view&current=Spurt1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii19/vtruscinski/Spurt1.jpg" border="0" alt="Spurt1"></a>

Can anyone tell me if this means they are happy or upset, maybe they are eating or reproducing (looks kind of like sperm from a fish in the spring when they are spawning :D)?

And here are some other tank photos, the only thing that is not completely in the tank is the sand...we are adding it slowly so the levels don't spike too much:

We started a calcium drip shortly before they started doing this...could that have caused it...I guess I don't understand. I just did tests, and everything is pretty much 0 in the tank...

Hmmm, maybe it was toying with you?!? Glad to hear it's doing good.

What calcium drip?? What have you mixed together to drip??

val, those do that from time to time if you stress them at all, they are not pucking there guts out, i have seen them do that a ton. But on another note, it is really weird seeing my gear in your tank. lol. It will be fine, they just will take time, they just got bummed about something but it all looks great!
