75g RR sump, wet/dry, or refugium

i went to the coral reef because I live 1 mile from them. At first I went to see their skimmer set-ups and then explained my sump situation which led to this discussion. A customer said to run the skimmer first but a guy working their later said I should skim last. I guess it's a matter of preference but you make good points.

Is this one of those pre-cut sumps - and you glue it together yourself? That's they only way I can imagine you have the flexibility of where to place the baffles

I don't think I've seen a sump with the skimmer in the second half and the fuge in the first. It seems true that either way would work but I can see a couple disadvantages:
-MICRO BUBBLES into the display - which will drive you nuts
-One more pump that pods have to tend with to get from fuge to display.
-Fuge is supposed to be REFUGIUM ie calm place. The water feeding the sump/fuge does not give it the calm that you'd get from the water coming "gently" over the baffles.

I appreciate everyones input. I picked up lighting (below) for a good price.

48" Outer Orbit 2 x 150 MH watt 2 x 130 watt PC 6 LL

I believe this will be adequate for what I want to do. I have also decided to not use a canopy so this should help with circulation and heating.

Next I must decide my GPH return pump rate. I would like to have at least a 10 x turn over an hour but if I increase the flow through my refugium beyond say 450 GPH it may blow my substrate around in the refugium. and defeat it's purpose...I'm a little concerned about this....Hopefully between the LR and the power heads (which will be using a Wavemaster PRO wavemaker) this return rate (450 gph) shouldn't be a problem...any concerns here?

I typed up a long response, but then something happened and it didn't post...

But the jist of it was that you should be just fine with those lights... Ummm, you can adjust the amount of flow your refugium gets by adjusting the baffles you set in your sump, so long as you don't have your return pump in your refugium... And the Wavemaster is nice except on pumps like seios and tunzes... They'll grind everytime they start up...
