7ft 210 gallon build

I just recently acquired a 210 gallon tank with a very nice dimension for swimming room and aquascaping. It's 84"x24"x24".
My current tank is a 125 gallon and this is going to be about double the water volume so I'm happy it's going to be an upgrade worth doing.

My fish are growing fairly big and would definitely appreciate a tank of this magnitude.

Check back later. Pictures to come..

Thanks kdino. Yeah, I've had my eye on one for the longest time and finally decided it was the right time and took the plunge!

Right on meatball. Can't wait to see how you aquascaped and your fish/coral selection. I find the 125 to narrow and limited on how I'd like to arrange the rocks. Post some pics when you get that beauty set up!

The 125 isn't really made for coral placement and fish swimming room IMO. What kind of lights r u planning on

I'm currently running 175W MH, but was considering 250s. HBU? I may also add some t5 actinics for supplemental lighting.

What are you using for flow? I have modded maxijets. I would like to get a vortech or two..

very cool! I have a 240 96x24x24 I just acquired myself. Can't wait to see your pics!

That's awesome, sick dimension. Those extra feet make a world of a difference. Did you go with an acrylic tank? Mine is actually glass.

I also like how the tank isn't very deep. Easy maintenance and coral placement. It allows me to get intense lighting out of my 175Ws and not have to restort to 400s. I can't imagine running 1200Ws for the lighting alone? It's probably better for sps, but not necessary. I'll be placing my sps near the top.

The tank is going to be mixed. I really like variety. SPS dom is to bland and lack movement IMO

Will you keep both tanks running or transfer all from the 125 to the 210? I ask because I will be ugrading to a shallow 72x24x14 soon and need to read up on what to do without killing everything in the process.
