8 line flasher wrasse

I saw a big male at vivid about five years ago. I wanted to get it but at the time I had a large lyretail anthias that wouldn't allow any new fish. I have been looking for one for two years now with no luck. NYA is in new york? Sorry never heard of them. I'm on the west coast. Price?

New york Aquatics. check out there website, they have females for 200 and HAD males but they all are sold or dead, they were 260.

new pics of the girl

Great pics. Mine doesn't look as striking....hopefully cause I have a 6500 bulb on the QT tank and it makes fish look pale, haha.

The small issue on mine looks to be healing up as she's in her 4th day of the Furan-2 treatment which is at its strongest today. Tomorrow will bring a 25% water change and carbon to clear up the water.

How long do you plan to keep her in the QT tank?

I haven't even run any meds yet, she had a small fin issue but it's healed up. I don't really want to treat to soon. Im in no rush, also I m thinking about removing a few fish from my dt. Still in the air

Sad news for me. Mine die a little while ago. Been battling ich for a few days. I treated with cupermine but it didn't make it through it.

Yikes, sorry to hear that. This thread is going south quickly as fewer and fewer of these are surviving. Hopefully we've heard all the bad news

I wouldn't treat for any ripped fins or anything like that. They heal up quickly with clean water a full belly. sores on the side or something, i would treat asap.

I only treated because I had another fish that was going downhill and I figured it wouldn't hurt the 8 line either.

Mine should be here sometime this morning. It's pretty nerve racking this time around cause I'm at work and my wife is taking care of everything. She'll do a good job though, hopefully we receive a lot healthier fish this time around. Always tough when I can't be there.

That is a very high mortality rate. If he ever brings in more I hope he keeps them for at least two weeks to see if they even make it at his place.

He's a good guy, people mess up, it's what you do when you mess up that separates men from boys, and I can't speak for everyone, but he did live up to his policies and guarentees. So I can't fault him for that. I think we all just got swept up on wanting these fish, however I would have not minded waiting, especially at the cost of losing such rare fish hobby wide, that's the most tragic of all of this, that we took them
Out of there habitats where they were thriving to just end up dead

Hes alive this time, which is a big +++. He looks well but I havent turned the lights on yet. So far he's still recovering and just kinda hanging out. Time will tell I guess, I'll keep you guys posted.
