Love this tank ;)

Cool looking setup so far! What else do you plan to stock in the future?
Thanks!

No real stocking plans - just whatever catches my eye at the LFS. I'll probably try a gorgonian, a plate coral, other type of frogspawn, more zoas, etc. Im maxed out on fish already, but Im really happy with the ones I have.

I will be ordering an mp10 shortly as well as the controller for my AI nano though.

Here are a couple pics of the refugium for this tank:

This is the $.01 gorgonian that you can get from Reefcleaners.org

Cool is all I got to say. I want to see how this tank progress. What are you going to feeding them gorgonians?

Thanks guys

Right now I feed 3 different types of food, and everything has been responding pretty well.

Cyclopeze - once daily
Rods food reef mix - once daily
Marine Snow - once every other day (I use a dropper and spray each of the corals with this, not sure if it helps, but everything looks pretty happy)

Unfortunately no new additions this week, but I did take a few shots of the tank. My Yasha goby has finally grown a pair and is now hanging out with the other fish in his area of the tank.

Just wondering.. You have a 9.4gallon tank? are your blood red shrimp & cleaner shrimp getting along ok?

Brill tank!

Brill tank!

Thank you sir!

As far as I have seen, there have been no problems keeping the 2 in the same tank. The scarlet cleaner shrimp is bold and nearly always visible. The blood shrimp is more reclusive - it spends most of its time on the left side of the tank in a cave. Both are well fed and healthy. I have not seen any fighting or territorial disputes.

Slick looking setup. The more I see AI nano's the more I think about using the PAR 38 I ordered as a fuge light... :D

Thanks for the comments guys!

Update:

Picked up a nice 3 head duncan frag and a gold maxima clam on Jan 31st. Here's a couple pics:

Hard to get a good picture of the gold under the LED's. Looks really awesome though.

My mangrove finally sprouted some roots:

My Yellow cucumber had a baby:

Both sides are alive and well. The smaller piece just popped a new crown as well.

Finally, some cool shots of the fuge:

My chaeto isnt doing so hot - I think due to my water change frequency and the unavailability of nutrients? idk

No idea what this thing is, but it looks cool and its really sensitive - some type of little filter feeder. It opens and closes if you tap the glass.

Enjoy!

The red looks like a red valonia species of algae. Just keep it in check and it won't be too big of a problem.

The filter feeder looks like a tunicate of some kind. It will require constant feeding to keep it alive.

I'm worried as on the left there appears to be a Mojano anemone. They can spread quickly, and cause a lot of problems in a tank. So watch out for that guy.

Looking really good otherwise.

Thanks Aaron. I did some google searching, and Id definitely say that it is a tunicate. Very interesting creature. I have not done any supplemental feeding, and it seems to be getting larger - I assume its healthy.

As for the glass nem, yea, I saw there are a few in there. I will most likely glue them shut. Do you think is possible for them to spread up to the main tank?

How are those mangroves doing have they sprouted leaves?
Mangroves are doing good. I know 2 of them have already sprouted roots, the third I cant see because its wedged into some rocks. No leaves yet, but they'll be coming in soon.

Your going to lose all your fish to jumping....just saying. otherwise cool tank.
Appreciate the compliment. I actually just lost my scarlet cleaner shrimp this past weekend due to jumping. Im planning on getting a larger tank when I move out of this apartment - needless to say, it will have a top for sure. I always knew it might be an issue, but I guess I didnt think about it hard enough. Looks great, but I would never get an open top tank again.
