9 sticky posts

Whats the deal with having so many sticky posts? Most this info can be on the website I thought you all had going. Half the 1st page is taken up by these things, and every time I come on here now, there are new ones.

Whats on the website for this club, and where is the link to it?

It's still in the works, and I don't think the forums are working there yet.

A lot of that is information that keeps getting repeatedly asked for. It's easier to send them to the top of the page rather than tell them to search for it or I think I saw it somewhere around page 20.

Maybe we can find a better way to do it once our web site is up.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Honestly, the stickies are for everyone's benefit. We could be that club that only has stuff for sale, or the occasional question asked, but try to be more informative and helpful to our members. We also like to be very personable as far as the get to know you threads go. Not too many clubs seem to have all the activities going on that we are trying to accomplish. Not to be abrasive but did you get up on the wrong side of the bed, or do you want to work on the web site as well as maintain the SCMAS portion of RC?

The web site is actually scmasclub.com and it is a work in progress. Myscmas.com is kind of in limbo with who owns the rights to it and at this moment is linked to our web site.

Wow! Im so sorry if SCMAS doesnt suit your needs. Not sure what else we can do to make everyone satisfied with the club. Dont hold back. Say whats on your mind Questin. We always welcome suggestions and comments.

hmm, I'm watching a copepod in his last minutes on earth under my scope.... he's dying.... and all we can think about is stickie threads.... jeez think about rob here (the dying pod)... he's about to check out and it's stickies, all the time with the stickies....

seriously though, Questin.... if you give it time they'll have the site up with a better format and a good place for info. It's just trying to juggle time and things to do thats all. Once more of the information is static on the club site I'm sure the stickies will subside.

Pretty sure the bylaws, membership cards, and sponsors can be gone.... the posting pictures, meeting times, par meter, and introductions are genuinely useful so I dont see why they shouldnt stay. and naturally number 9 is the frag swap announcement which will go after the frag swap.

Sorry guys - I'm away on vacation! When I get back, I will be combining as many "info" stickies as I can into one, as well as incorporating the same info onto the website. In the meantime, the stickies are there for our members benefit - if you don't think it benefits you, then by all means, please don't read them!
