90 g update

It also makes for an awesome setup in the long run. Many of the things that normally die with predators will flourish in that six month period.

When I used to do custom installs the six month wait was my standard recommendation and now all of those tanks look much different than that of those who are impatient.

thanks,

Rick

the mollies dont seem interested in the algae
they just swim around

Mine just stayed at the top of the tank for a week. Just yesterday they started picking at the algae.

i hope they continue to survive
they dont look much like they are stressed now
hope they start eating the4 algae soon
do they eat the cyno?
i only feed once a day
sometimes not at all
in order to get them to munch on the algae

I'm going to have to agree with Bean 100%..................Relax and let the tank mature.......Do some reading on the net and even take some notes if necessary.

the cyno is all but gone and i did nothing maybee the mollies ate it?
i havent seen em eat the stuff
oh and one of my female molies is a mother
you can see her belly is bigger
i'll get a pic
check my gallery in a bit

well unfortunatly the 90 has to come down
major money problems right now and i cant afford to keep it up right now
i cant even afford the extra $70 a month for the electric costs
plus i will be moving in a couple months
so i'm gonna sell it with the stand
BUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have a nice and healthy blue hippo tang (about 4-5 inches)
1 blue devil damsel (3 inch)
and 3 silver mollies switched over to sw (1 m 2 fm)
1 xenia
1 yellow leather (very healthy - 3-4 inch opened up)
and ray has a frogspawn for me
any bids on the tank or fish?
i think i can keep the corals in a 20 h
do u think i can keep em in a 20?
i will keep the rockls and sand and put it in my 20 h qt
i really dont want to take it down but my hands are tied right now
(see the wanted used 4 foot aquarium for the reason i have to take it down)
I REALLY DONT WANT TO DO THIS

You should have no problem keeping the corals in the 20g tank. I would only take one of the fish into the 20g tank (not the tang!!!)

So sorry, and after all the work you out into it!! That just stinks, but if you really are going to take it down, please let me know what you want for the hippo tang- I would def want it and have been looking for one for awile.
Thanks and good luck with whatever you choose,
Vince

well the 90 is down
so is the fuge
BUMMER BUMMER BUMMER!!!!!
man! it was a handfull and stinky
did i say stinky PU
i got the fish in a 10 till tomorrow as well the corals till the 20 h clears up (i got a whisper in tank and a cascade 300 filtering it) now hope it wont take long hopefully i will get the corals in tonight
but i dont think so

in the 20 h i set aside a corner
and cut off the bottom of the mud container
filled it up with some mud
put it in then filled it up
after the water clears i will put in what calupera i have
in this mini mini fuge area of the tank

If you have that tang in the 10 you are most likely going to have an ammonia spike. I would put as much of you live rock in the 10 as possible and do not feed them at all.

i have no REAL live rock
just live base rock

but that should have the good bacteria on it already

Yeah get that tank OUT of that 10 gallon tank ASAP. It would be a shame to lose it due to rapid deterioration of water parameters.

1 got 2 nice sized tufa rocks in it (about 5 pounds)
as this is only a holding tank and not a permenant one she will be fine even when i do 10 percent wc every day till thursday
