90 Gal reef for the girls.

What about having it drain directly into the skimmer?

Sorry about the mix up, I was thinking Barracuda was the next one up from the Dart, not the HH.

Problem is he wants the pods and stuff to go into the tank, if it goes into the skimmer or sump they will likely die.
I don't know of a solution here.
You are trying to drain a tank into another tank then into yet another tank. An engineering nightmare if you ask me :)

If you are determined enough you'll get it, for now I'd shut it down, get that wall built and an idea will probably come to you eventually

How about this to eliminate the bubbles. Take the pipe and make a giant P-trap. Run the pipe to the floor then back up and into the tank. Then the water has to run through a flooded pipe and may eliminate the bubbles. You may still get bubbles flowing through with the water, but if you then added a T at the top with a small hole to vent, the remaining bubbles would have a place to collect and exit the system before entering the tank.

I really need to learn how to hit the submit button after I preview my replies. Let's try this again.

I tried some different plumbing last night with some better results.

Most of the bubbles are gone and very few cling to the water surface before they pop.

I'm unhappy with where the output fitting ended up so I'll redo that part later to get it away from the back glass.

I pulled the rubble out of the cooker.

And put it in it's final resting place.

I'll probably be begging for some pod infested algae later this week so beware.

Looks like a great solution, I will have to stop by and check it out.
Sure, call anytime.

are you still get bubbles that move into the water colom in the 125?

Not to much. They overflow out of that fitting and kinda float on top of the water until they pop. The ones that do make it under water float up real quick and float on the surface as well.

Are getting a lot of salt creep with the extra poping bubbles?
Nothing after 1 day:D . I'll keep you posted though.

Cool, I wasn't sure that theory would work.
How many fittings are you up to on this whole system? Just a few shy of Ocean Journeys tanks? ;)
I bet you have more than my 600! probably twice as many.

You should see the box I need to take back. Thing is I can't remember if I got them a Lowes or Home Depot. The #'s on the fittings aren't the same as the #'s on the receipt. I hope they can just scan them a refund or credit.

just donate them to the frag tank:D :D :D :D

I think a lot of it would be too small.

I was so embarresed when I tried to return something so old (less than a year, but close) and the receipt was fading due to time. I ended up trying to return some part at Lowe's only for about 4 different people to try to enter in the code before someone exhaustively reported loudly that this item was from Home Depot!!! If I had a tail... it would have been between my legs. Nonetheless, it was a funny story.

Just did the same thing Tim, went through my garage and gathered anything with a barcode that didn't have any PVC glue on it (some stuff over 2 years old). They went through it all and told me what wasn't theirs and what was... Ended up with store credit for over 50 at Lowes and over 60 as HD. :D Didn't have a single receipt!

Oh crips. For some reason the scene from the Roman part of History of The World Part 1, where Madeline Kahn is choosing "dance partners" came to mind.
"Yes, yes, no, no, no, yes, no, no, yes, no, YESSSS!"

Excuse the ghetto temp light setup but we wanted to get something in the tank and needed some kind of light. I laid the epoxy paint on kinda thick in the canopy and it will take some time to cure I think. When it's ready to go the lights will go in easy enough.

We stopped by Scott's and picked up a little cleaning crew tonight. Got a sand shrimp that buries itself in the sand during the day and come's out at night that sounded pretty cool. Got some blue leg and scarlet hermit crabs, nasaruis snails three conchs and 3 neon goby's, 2 are going in the 125. we also stopped by Sea Scape and picked up a pink cucumber and a couple fish we'll pick up on Sat.
