9002 problems

I've been running a 9002 in a BC29 for a year and a half now, and it has been working fine.
In the last two weeks, I've noticed a decrease in efficiency....instead of getting nice small foaming bubbles, I'm getting large bubbles that don't seem to work.
I took everything apart, cleaned it thoroughly, put it back together, but it still seems to be producing large bubbles. How do I get the small foaming bubbles back again?
"tiny bubbles, in the water...." (apologies to Lawrence Welk). 8-)

The venturi is the most likely culprit, did you open the nozzle and clean the nozzle and pre nozzle? There is a white inner nozzle, if it is dirty or physically damaged this is the result. Be careful to never pick calcium deposits or debris off a venturi, soak it in vinegar and use only a soft brush. Don't use any strong acids as this will also affect the plastic.

Thanks for the great info. I had cleaned everything EXCEPT taking apart the inner white nozzle. It had some debris on it, which came off easily with a soft brush. Skimmer now works great again!
