9002 skimmate cup problem?

My 9002 nano produces foam and skimmate until the tube inside the cup and the lid gets covered with gunk and then it seems to back off with just a bubbling at the base of the cup. I clean the cup and it starts all over again producing foam and skimmate in the same cycle again. The water level is just a little over the wavey line on the skimmer. Anyone having this with your 9002?

How much bioload do you have?

A 29 gal with a Coral Beauty, a Percula Clown, 3 Chromis, and a Goby, with some LR, no corals. Also an Aquaclear 30, 2 turbo snails,and 8 or 10 small crabs fot clean up.

Lower the water level to a little under the wavy line (1/4") and open the venturi farther, these solids and deposits do tend to break the foam column down but it shouldn't happen so quickly.

I was having the same issue, did what Roger said and it works much better now.
