9002 Skimmer Magnet

I just purchased the 9002 skimmer and will be using it with a nc28. My understanding is that I will need to remove the magnet. Is this easy to do? Any suggestions?

It is not easy, it would have to be cut off with a saw. I would advise against it unless it is absoluteley necessary.

I also have the same problem. My understanding that this skimmer was the proper one for the 28 nano cube? What is the alternative if you don't use a hack saw for the magnet but still want to use the 9002 skimmer?

There really is not an alternative. It is the proper performance rating skimmer.
