9005 Died.....

I just noticed that my 9005 skimmer stopped working. When I disassembled the pump and removed the impeller assembly it looks as if there is a spring loaded component pushing aginst the inner plastic/rubber shroud. This is causing a bump to protrude into the area the impeller sits which stops the impeller from spinning freely. The water level in the tank is correct, however the skimmer had been skimming rather weakly and not producing many bubbles in the past few days before it siezed. Please let me know what I should do. Thanks in advance!

Thanks Rodney, I'll send it in to you. Can you PM me your e-mail address so I can forward you the receipt? I haven't been in the hobby for two years yet so I'm pretty sure I'm still covered.
Thanks!
Mike

No problem Mike PM has been sent. By the way that is a very nice Doberman.....had one when we live in Milwaukee but had to sell it before I moved to CA, wasn't gonna have enough room. But we still have the our Min Pins and they are awesome dogs. It was really neat for a while having a full size pincher and a min pin.
