9005 Skimmer settup question

I just got a Tunze 9005 to go inside an Oceanic 46. The tank has a lip at the top. Directions show various settup options, but it's still a bit loose due to the tank lip. Do the optional magnets allow you to mount it inside without using the brackets? I assume one of the magnets would go inside the skimmer, so would it effect performance in a noticeable way?

The magnets clip on the outside and replace the brackets but if you use the long screws annd the suction cups the brackets should work well on Oceanic, their should be a set of instructions specifically for Oceanic.

Got it. Thanks. I may still get a magnet so that my hood doesn't have to cut in the back corner due to the brackets .
