9005 skimmer won't start

Help... I just received and set up a new Tunze 9005 skimmer with the in sump extension set. I set it up per the instructions and put it in the sump and plugged it in and it won't start. I disassembled it and reassembled it and it still won't start. I pulled the pump out and plugged it in and it appears to be the problem as it won't even run outside the skimmer. When i pulled the impeller out it got warm from being plugged in, but just won't turn. Any ideas?

I disassembled the pump again and the inside of the pump where the impeller magnet sits has a raised bubble in the plastic that is preventing the impeller from turning.

Yes, I saw your post and that is exactly what my pump motor looks like... It came like that brand new out of the box.
