I'm eager anyone to design something that works well for 1" acrylic. I hate having to have stuff custom-fabricated. Nothing out there really works very well.

I also agree that it'll be a long time coming, though. It'll be non-trivial to nearly double the magnetic force. I'm sure heat and efficiency will fall off in similar ways. They'll be much more expensive.

Well having just checked out the TOTM, I can say almost certainly that I will be using T-5s. If he can reach the bottom of his 30" tank using 54watters, I can certainly reach the bottom of a 40" with 100watters.
