9010 on a UPS backup?

My 9010 seems to have problems with the voltage fluctuations in my old house. Thankfully I work from home so i'm able to catch it stumbling and correct it.

Today I thought that putting it on a UPS should solve the problems of the fluctuating voltage in our house...

what do you think? anybody try this before?

i'm worried that the UPS will put out a different sin wave, that the tunze pump may not be compatible with.

It would be fine for short failures- 6-8hrs. It won't work though for long term power failures. I can send a smaller impeller that can solve the start up issue.

Thanks Roger.

The power outages have been literally a few seconds long of the voltage just dropping, and everything in the house fading.

California. :(

Upon the power comming back on 100% the skimmer procedes to just make a racket and won't restart. If I turn it off, and let it sit for about 2-3 seconds, it'll start back up perfect!

I think a mini-ups is in order to make sure my pump doesn't self destruct itself.

Maeda, Can you please PM your name and address so I can send a smaller impeller as well?
