9010 pump dead

I purchased a new 9010 that i use an in intank skimmer... has worked great for the last 8 months that i have had it but the pump died yesterday and i cannot seem to fix it... i took apart and cleaned it as much as i could, it seems it will not let you get to the actual motor part of the pump, and everything seems fine but no water output... any suggestions??? i spent over $350 dollars on this from marinedepot.com and feel it should not be dead allready... i am also worried how my tank is going to do now that the skimmer is not working... please help... bunker
