Hey Roger and all,

I just bought a 9101 from a local reefer. Brought it home and plugged it in. Motor runs fine, but shouldn't I see some water out of the output tube?

Right now there is nothing coming out it appears.

I don't have much foam, but we just cleaned it too.

you may have the tube pushed in too far, i've done it myself. when you take the plastic shield off that the pipe fits into, make sure it's flush with the back of the shield and doesnt go in any further that that I believe.

Another thing could be is that the pump has been knocked loose from where it supposed to set in order to feed water up. Dont know the name of the parts, but mine was like that when I got it from being shipped, all you have to do is just take that bottom plate off and make sure the pump is sitting all the way up.

Roger, what do you do if water will not exit the outlet pipe? My skimmer makes some foam, but I cannot get it up into the neck very far. That doesn't make me too nervous, as I just started the thing, but no water exits the outlet pipe.

Three parts are required for it to work like this, the pipe, the bottom cover 9010.200 and the 9010.400 sleeve below cover. The 9010.200 has no slots and it must be in all the way. The 9010.400 is installed between the pump and the intake. If any of these parts are not installed or installed wrong, it won't work.

Roger,

You were right on man. It was missing the 9010.400 piece below the bottom cover. The piece ws in the box and a piece of cake to install.

As soon as I put it in, BAM water flow just like I should have...

Thanks for the online troubleshooting.
