hey guys, I just bought and installed a 9010 Skimmer. it's in sump, has the stand pipe, and the 4 suction cup feet for in sump operations. well I got it plugged in and set the screw per the instructions, and I went to check on it about 2 hours later and I noticed that there was water coming from the back of the unit. it's a hole at the top where the in tank clamp pieces would normally go. So my question is, is that normal? I plugged the hole with my finger, and it doesn't seem to make a difference, but I just find that strange. so what am I missing?

thx!

Missing nothing. It is supposed to be like that....think it has to do with the water level/pressure outlet.

Basically, its normal.

The water in that upper chamber is the "gasket" that pushes the foam up and seals the cup. It has to bleed off at just the right height for this to work.
