#1,Will this skimmer turn itself off as the collection cup gets full? #2, if installed in a partitioned sump, whats the optimal water level height? Thanks.

1. Yes, it stops skimming, the pump still runs but the foam column is broken by back pressure.

2. Anything between 4 and 11".
