Tank specs: 100 gallon display/25 gallon sump, half dozen fish, soft corals, some LPS.
I've currently got a Euroreef CS6-1 (probably comparable to the current RS100) that I've had for a couple of years. Still does a decent job. My sump is VERY cramped and difficult to work in, and I'm intrigued by the compact size of the 9010 skimmer. Can anyone tell me if I'd get at least equal performance out of the 9010 that I get from my current euroreef?
Also, how easy are the Tunze skimmers to adjust? I appreciate how easy it is to adjust the levels on the euroreef. Can I expect the same ease on the 9010, or would I need to constantly fiddle with it?
How is the Tunze with regards to spewing micro-bubbles into the sump? Is it prone to this the way some skimmers are?
I see references to "sump mode" and "tank mode". What's the difference, and does one provide any advantages over the other? Mine would be in a sump, but the water depth is always in that 9 to 11 inch range.
Thanks for any guidance you can offer.
