9015 DOC skimmer problem

I recently ordered a Tunze DOC protien skimmer 9015 from Marine Depot on 5/20/08. I set it up according to the instructions and it has broken in fine.
The issue that I am having is that the pump has locked up and will not restart the last 5 times that I have shut it down. I have to completely disassemble the pump and remove the impaler and then reassemble the pump in order for it to restart and work again. Otherwise, it works fine and skims VERY well(IMO, this is a VERY good skimmer for its size. Comparible to most that are 2 times its size).
Is there something that I assembled wrong or is this a fixable issue or did I just get a 'quirky' pump?

Thanks Scott! Try this first- make sure that the bearing bush, part 3000.62 is fully inserted, sometimes this part comes loose in shipping. Then, check that the bearing shell 3000.65 is clipped onto the shaft. If these check out or don't solve it, let me know and we will send a new impeller assembly.
