9015 very noisy

I bought a second hand 9015 and it is very noisy

I looking to see if there is any thing missing should the 9015 have 3130.160 nozzle

Yes it should have the 3130.160 nozzle but this is part of 3130.130 and shown in this illustration as well. The skimmer won't produce bubbles if it is missing. Can you describe the noise?

the skimmer is producing bubbles . to honest the noise is strange and if i put my hand down and touch the tube it gets better

Yes, 3130.130 includes 3130.160 and you can buy 3130.160 seperate, however, if it is producing air bubbles it is highly unlikely you need this part. It sounds like you are running it with the sump kit? Is water exiting the stand pipe, it should have a slow flow from the stand pipe as well as from a hole in the back of the skimmer .

How deep is it submerged? Without the sump kit the water should be from 1" below the marked water line, to up to the water line. Past or more than 1" below the line you get noises and the skimmer won't work well.

its around a 1/4 inch below. do you know a part number for the sump kit

Yes, the nozzle must be inserted into the clear tube or the skimmer won't work. The sump kit is part 9005.400

Is it even a Tunze pump or did someone add another pump to this skimmer? The 3130.130 should be positioned so the pump is inserted into this pipe. Can you post or email some photos?

Rite checked there now my 3130.130 is def only one part and it is a tunze pump. I think its the nozzle that is missing as this would make up the space

can i ask i have a 9015 wat is the difference between it and the 9016

9016 includes magnet holders and has a new Turbelle E-Jet type pump.

Yes, you would just need the 9011.015 motor and the drive unit, I don't have these yet as spare parts though, but we will soon.
