Nice progress, Norman. Looks like you didn't have too much of a cloud from the sand. How many gph are going through your closed loop (also, remember to get a strainer for the intake before you introduce livestock).

One point of caution that others can probably speak to better than I -- I'm a bit worried about the torque you are putting on your closed loop intake bulkhead. It seems like you really would want the pipe to go straight down from there. If you bump the pipe sticking out to the side you could do some damage.

Not much of a cloud, thank goodnes and the closed loop is run by a hammerhead 5800gph pump, of course it pumps out in a 2in line and I reduce it to 3/4inch as it enters the tank, so I'm not really sure of actual gph plus it has to raise the water 4 feet.

The bulkhead was in that position when I got it, didn't leak so I left it in that position. very little pressure on the bulkhead as the hose was natural to that position also, very little actual bending of the plumbing to the pump. I have placed some things in front of the pipe so you can't accidently bump it. It is actually behind the tank. and there is that small room divider next to it. But thank you for noticing that problem before I had an accident.

cool, did you get this tank from waynesworld?

Steve

Look Familiar? Yes, it came from Wayne as did the sump, lights, loc-line stand, hood and a lot of advice:rollface:
