I've seen a number of builds that use blocks for the tank stand. Really like the idea!!

Safety first:fun2:

My house was build in 1904, and the floor feels "soft". I actually made a hole through the wood floor, and down through the concrete. Then I've made a new, steel armored concrete base, directly on the soil beneath the house.

If my house starts to fall down, i seek refuge in my tank:p

This fella has been brought back from the dead.

Bought it cheap, and even in a tubberware, the tentacles wasn't long enough to grab artemia. So I had to hand feed ever polyp with an pincer the first two weeks. - I´m so happy about that.

My frag-tank setup.

175L (46us gal.) DSB.

This tank is used for fragging, and as a nursery for incoming stuff in poor coloration or health. The t5 lighting is less harsh than led, and a soft introduction to high light levels.

In the sump, I've got another sps stash, trying out different light colors.
12x3w led 6xblue 6xcold white, and 2x24w t5 aquablue

Cheers

Two shots from above. :)
I've recently added new frags and moved corals.
I have one rule for this tank. Every sps has to be grown "on site" to get the best appearance. This means I break them up and start over if they have to move. :

I've left some remains of a hystrix, in front of the pokerstar. I like the look of encrusting corals overgrowing branched. I haven't figured out where to re-start the hystrix though.

Enjoy your weekend:beer:

Hi again.

Last picture of this monster. It has outgrown my tank, and needs a bigger home. Do to my rule of "small frags only", I can't move it, but I´ve found a guy who can reseive this donation.

I´ve started making extra shelves ready for the columns. I need more space.

I believe I´ve found one of my corals to be a mint Acropora desalwii.
In my DT it turns pretty much dark blue, with redish polyps, while the frags I keep under different light, has green/white polyps and a minty color at the base.

Frag under another lightsource

A random picture "“ I just love the favites with extended polyps. Always been one of my favorites.

Later :wavehand:
And thanks for stopping by..
