Did you mostly switch out the lens to get better light spread? My buddy went ahead and ordered one for his 92 and even at 100% it looks very dim (fish night club of sorts). Did you have the same issue and that's why you switched?
Yes and to get rid of the spotlight effect on a few places in the higher rocks. Maybe he has too much blue, my tank is as bright as can be with all three bulbs at the same intensity.
It's been three months, so an update! Had a small hair and carpet algae problem on a rock. Bought a hermit and an emerald. Wow, those suckers really went to town. I avoided crabs because I had read so many bag things about them. It's been a month and all is very well.
As you can see from the pic, some things have been moved around. As far as growth goes under these AI's...wow! My birds nest, my setosa, bubble coral, frog spawn, and especially the leather or whatever that thing is at the top, are growing like gangbusters. The gorgonian is growing well and sprouted a second shoot. The mushroom is making babies weekly and the ricordia has quadrupled in size, candy cane too. The anemone split into three, the duncan is doing great and I still have all 7 of my chromis! Too bad the Tomin tang moved out of the pic.
Great tank, I wish I would have seen your thread earlier! I wanted the ai sols but thought I would need 2 fixture s guess I was wrong, I just bought.a used 48led diy from someone. Your tank looks real nice . I was wondering if you could.post any pics of your overflow. My overflow is so noisy hopefully yours will give me some ideas on how to quiet mine down thanks
It's been awhile since I posted and I bought some new corals cheap from Sea-Life again. It's a good excuse to post! They are a great bunch at Sea-Life. They threw in another free coral, a decent size, beautiful gorgonian.
Ball sponge, I hope I can keep it alive. It's about 2" x 2".
Purple Plume gorgonian
A toadstool frag from nate
Now for some growth
Almost full tank shot (anemone is actually two, it split a few days ago and moved under the box
