Does anybody know how to reduce micro bubbles from the protein skimmer? I'm getting a bunch from the display tank. I am using a reef octopus xp 1000sss.

might slow over time. I have a RO HOB skimmer and had a lot of bubbles but after a week or 2 it stopped

Depending on the type of corals you plan on keeping will change your lighting.
IMO Metal halide covers all your bases for only 250 watts. Otherwise youll have to add 1 radion pro, many people have to use 2 radions over that size tank for sufficient coverage.
SPS Tank
8 Bulbs t5 ATI Sunpower
2 Radion Pros
1 250w - 400w Metal Halide
Mixed Reef
6-8 bulbs t5
1 Radion Pro
1 250w MH
In my opinion, the best lighting for that size tank is a single Metal Halide. Will the bulbs be more expensive... Yes but think about it this way, 1 MH bulb for 80 dollars vs 6-8 bulbs at 20 dollars each. The increased energy from the 250w MH will be paid for in bulb cost over time. They will be very close to equal.
Given time, the skimmer will break in. Let the skimmer work and develop a bio-film on the inside. If you still have microbubbles after 1 month of the skimmer being in there then look at other options.

The microbubbles have reduced. So I think it will solve itself over time.
I'm ordering a light this week. I think I'm going with the radion. I plan to mostly keep lps, but will add the sps towards the top. The way my rock work is, the coverage should be fine doing sps this way. They will all be in the upper middle of the tank.

Ordered my lights last week, but having a horrible time getting Marine Depot to ship them. Hopefully they will either respond to my email on Monday, or just refund my money so I can get the lights somewhere else.

They are sending me a refund. I honestly just wanted my lights, and ordered from Marine Depot because that's where I've always ordered from in the past. I'm going to give Bulk Reef Supply a try when the money is back in my bank account. Ordering something online should be a simple process.

I'm still learning how to shoot my corals under the Radions. I tried to make the colors as accurate as possible. I didn't shoot photos of all the new zoas, but they are all opening and seem happy. I'm very satisfied with this order from Unique Corals. Everything looks great.

You can also see the Eagle Eyes in the background. The magician palys were almost gone in my other tank. They were growing in a shaded area, and I had forgot about them. I put them in this tank, and they are bouncing back nicely.

As far as my program, I'm running the Reef Radiant program, with them turned up at 40% max.

It's a Radion Xr30 gen 3 pro. I'm using two mp10's for powerheads.
