After two months of research, I am picking up my cube and stand today. I will be posting pictures of my build in the weeks to come stay tuned.

marineland pf 93 gallon
2 Aqua illumination hydras
eshoppes r-100
1 mp40
super reef octopus skimmer sro-1000lss
lifegard quiet 400 pump
eheim 2217 cannister filter
lifegard 25watt uv sterilizer
reef saver rock
tropic marin salt

any last minute suggestions? only purchased the tank and stand so far

Cat1pro,

So far it looks good. what I would do is change out the return pump.
I looked up the pump your using. its only 106 gph an hour, any reason?

would recommend an Ehiem or your choice with 600 gph minimum.

thanks will definitely look into the pump suggestion. Also thinking of putting a single hydra52 instead of two hydras.....thoughts?

Hello and welcome!

I noticed you have a canister filter listed. Any reason for this? Is the tank drilled?

for lights... i would go with a used set of ATI dimmable sunpower 8x24 fixture.
the hydra's for the price are kinda expensive. 1200$ in lighting is basiclly what your looking at.

Appreciate the feedback. Picked up my tank and stand last night. I applied the first coat of stain. Starting to get excited.

A friend has a single hydra over a marineland 93 cube. It looks great. I would get a single hydra52 for sure. More power.

+1 ATI setup would be sweet or maybe one of the ATI hybrids or halide hybrids from reefbrite that will give you awesome growth and the pop of leds

I just got my emergency kit in case of power outage. Since Florida has so many storms I would hate to be without power for the tank.

It is the Goal Zero 1250

I am meeting up with my friend tonight to discuss the "list". I still have a lot to learn and don't have the knowledge to answer the question yet.

I made some adjustments to the build. I will be using two hydra 52 lights. I will also be using 2 mp40 pumps. Hoping to have all my stuff by the weekend to begin the installation the following week.

behind schedule but it's ok

behind schedule but it's ok

I was scheduled to have my friends over last Wednesday for "The Build", but one of my friends had a family emergency. The priority is for my friend and his family so the build has been on hold. I am optimistic that we will get some water in the tank this weekend. The tank and stand has been moved into its location.
