9410.04A Hydrofoamer on Skimmer Loud

My 9410.04A Hydrofoamer is the loudest item on my 100g tank setup any way to quieten it down. I have taken down to removal of impeller area all the way down except the bearing in the motor itself and cleaned with vinegar and water and that did not help. Should I be able to hear this pump run I was told it should be quite...

It should be quiet for a needlewheel pump but that is a relative comparison. Needlewheel pumps tend to make more noise than most as the mix of air and water results in the impeller being out of balance. I would remove the bearings, the most common cause of louder than usual noise is a torn silicon sleeve on the bearing or a chip in either the shaft or bearing.

Can you PM me the price on the shaft and bearings for replacements and if you have them in stock along with any other part that may have wear that could cause a noise issue.

You can see the parts here. The bearings are available individually, or you can get the whole drive unit which comes with a new shaft, bearings, magnet and needlewheel.
