Got this guy months ago. All he does is hide and doesn't eat. He's started to look translucent.

Everything else in my tank is doing amazing including another bta.

Thoughts?

that's a terribly bleached anemone. Check eater quality. Feed very small piece of food about every 2 days. Don't move it.

He/She wont eat anything. All it does is hide. Got it from SWF. It's one of the purple base, green tips, not sure if they sell tank or wild.

Water quality is all perfect just tested last night. Temp is around 78. I follow this for a guideline.

Must be my lights but everything else is doing fine. I have ReefBreeders LED 48" sitting about 6-8" off top of tank. Highest blue cycle is 70 and whites 44 for 2 hours. ramping up/down into that.

Thoughts on lighting schedule?

Running RB photon 48, about 8" off water

I have had some great advice from a member on here. I have a wild caught Anemone and she isn't doing too well at the moment.

If you can try to get a tank raised Anemone they are a lot hardier and have adapted to Aquarium life.

Unfortunately sometimes you do get an Anemone that just won't adapt to tank life.

In this case I think your Anemone is still trying to adapt to the lighting/Aquarium life. As said it does looked rather bleached. Does it expel any zooxanthellae? If its expelling regularly then this could be the cause of its bleaching. Generally to help a bleached Anemone to regain its colour you would supplement the light with feeding but in your case if it’s not feeding there is not a lot you can do other than provide it with ultimate tank conditions and hope it pulls through.

Gbta from my experience are more sensative then the rbta, i always had an issue as well with these guys. Even if he eats, i think he will still continue to bleach, without good lighting, my gbta tends to stay towards the bottom of my tank n my rbta stays in the middle of my tank. But now he is getting his green color back, mine was worst then yours.
