That sounds better than my last vacation!
Yup: there were a couple of Yellow-bar angelfish aka asfur angelfish next to the purple tang. I am always confused to why people call them asfur though. The ones I see around here does not have that distinctive yellow tail I see when looking up Asfur Angelfish, rather they have a blueish tail. I believe the Latin name is pomacanthus maculosusis it local reef...seem some solid livestock to fill your monster...
what's the angel in the picture of purple tang...is it asfur?
You are absolutely correct: there are not a lot of corals like you could probably see in the Red Sea or the Maldives. It is a bit different driving the the Arabian (aka Persian) Gulf and the Gulf of Oman though. Most of the photos you see here are from the Gulf of Oman. The diving site there is mainly rocky. Can you describe the areas you are diving in? There don't seem to be many corals. I don't even see much coraline algae or sponges or anything else on the rock. Perhaps I am misunderstanding what I am seeing.
Thx,
Dave.M
It depends on where we are diving. Dibba Rock, for instance, is a 5 minute boat trip in a small blow-up boat. Other places I've been to is a bit farther though.Nice pictures. Do you have to take a boat out or do you go in from shore?
I'm glad you could make it Maroun. I hoped we had more people but weekdays are usually a terrible meet-up time.Had the pleasure of seeing the tank yesterday. It really is a tremendous project, something one really doesn't realize looking at pics.
Can't wait to see the few issues of water clarity and minimal alga outbreak solved and see this tank filled with fish and coral.
Apprecviate the great hospitality Nahham and hoping to be in UAE for the Grand tank Opening.
Mr Wilson do take that trip on row 33 aisle seat but do insist on a trip to a narrow and short mall parking entry in Nahham's monster car!!!
Welcome and I'm glad you liked it.wish i could have a tank like that

Enjoy..
Thanks, I really enjoy sitting in front of it.this thing is better than sea world..... good job
I do have some algae problems partially because of the amount of sunlight the tank gets right now. What will happen though is that it will decrease once the seating area shading goes up and the partial coverage over the tank as well. Are you having any algae problems with how shallow it is?
I never thought it would look this big. I just hoped it would be a bit taller.Geez, that's huge
