A. Abrotanoides...Lets see them!!!

On the 14 Dec my photos will be viewable again; I've exceeded the bandwidth on my photobucket account. If I remember I'll post a picture of mine.

Regards,

Tony

Bogg,

Those two pieces have been in my tank for close to six months. The pics were taken by me in my tank last month.

@ saltywet

...that's a very beautiful piece you got yourself there! Where is it placed in the tank and is it under MH's, T5's, LED's. Flow???

I think this is A. Abrotanoides. It's a crummy picture, but check out the sprouts coming up from the base of this maricultured piece.

I had this guy for more than a year before it did anything. It finally liked being high up under the 400W halides, it encrusted and put out those sprouts. I recently tried snipping the top of the big yellowish stag to get it to grow. It healed over just like it had been. No growth!

Thanks

It is placed 6" from the top of my tank--about 12" away from my 10 54w bulb T5 setup.
I have tons of flow in my tank. I think I was just lucky with the color on these two pieces. It came in pink, then turned light brown before coloring into what you see.

There were never any green polyps on these pieces when it first came from DD.

Are you looking at getting this for your tank? That would be a nice addition to your tank. Let me know if you find any I would be interested.

I've been on the hunt for one, for quite some time now. Just have heard so much negative feedback from other hobbyists on attempts to keep em!

Interesting that you have nice growth tips from the base, yet the original branches are just green

That is the way most of them go...green with pink growth tips....if ou can get any growth tips out of them.

Just received mine from LA yesterday. It is very thick! Hints of pink tips are alrady showing, polyps are light green. Will take some pics later.
