A better way to exchange mantis'

OK... we have all seen the flood of offers that come forward when someone says they have a mantis to get rid of.

People offering coral, fish, cash and more.

So why not just auction them on ebay? ...posting the auction link here, of course. That way the person who truely has the most to offer will get the mantis.

Personally, I can't jump onto this forum 20 times a day trying to be the first to reply to the guy dumpimg and unwanted mantis. I want one very badly... and would pay plenty, but I never seem to be the first guy to see the thread called "mantis to trade..."

So what do you say? Run a real auction and give some of us other guys a chance to own one.

Make sense to anyone else?

Fast-Eddie,

You'll notice this board is quite large, has many forums, and has a huge membership.

There are specific areas for selling and trading:

1. RC has trading forums here:
http://reefcentral.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=89
2. RC has selling forums here:
http://reefcentral.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=140

RC does not allow links to off board sales sites(ebay, etc.), posts of a commercial nature outside of sponsor forums are deleted, posts in the selling forums without a specific price are deleted.

If you are looking for a mantis post a thread in the "Want to Buy" area and bump it up on occassion:
http://reefcentral.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=263

There are new mantis shrimp found on RC every day. I am sure you'll find one.

Cheers.

Ah... that makes sense, just seems strange to have so many people on the edge of there seats waiting for someone to find an unwanted mantis in their LR.

Thanks for taking the time to explain it to me
